Factors influencing the resilience of mses to the covid-19 pandemic crisis in indonesia

The purpose of this empirical study is to investigate two things: a) the impact domestic economic activities falling sharply due COVID-19 pandemic on micro and small industries (MSIs) throughout 2020, (b) forms crisis mitigation measures (CMMs) adopted by crisis-affected MSIs. evaluates importance four components, namely capital, collaboration, cooperation, digital technology (DT), using data from Quarterly MSI Survey (QMSIS) which included 24,000 respondents (owners MSIs) around country. It provides key findings: (1) most popular form CMMs MSIs was those that produce other goods whose demand remains high during pandemic, (2) with a positive regression coefficient according theory significant, suggesting it an important determinant MSIs’ resilience. Combined online sales, CMM has greatly helped many survive crisis. findings have practical implications, including government stimulus policy must complement correspond target MSMEs, therefore, different in response business risks need approaches packages.
